In The Beginning

Before the mountains, before the oceans, before the very first sunrise, there was God. This is the story of how He made the whole world, one amazing day at a time.

DAY 1

Let There Be Light

In the very beginning, the earth was dark and empty. Then God spoke, and light appeared! He called the light "day" and the darkness "night." That was the first day of a brand new world.

DAY 2

The Sky Above

On the second day, God made the sky, a huge, beautiful space stretching above the earth. He separated the waters below from the clouds and air above, giving the world room to breathe.

DAY 3

Land, Seas, and the First Plants

Next, God gathered the waters together to form the seas and let dry ground appear: mountains, valleys, and open fields. Then He filled that new land with grass, trees, flowers, and every kind of plant, each one able to grow more of its own kind.

DAY 4

Sun, Moon, and Stars

On the fourth day, God set two great lights in the sky: the sun to rule the day and the moon to rule the night. He also scattered countless stars across the darkness, so the whole sky would shimmer and sparkle, and so people could mark days, seasons, and years.

DAY 5

Creatures of the Sea and Sky

God filled the oceans with every kind of fish and sea creature, from the tiniest fish to the largest whale. Then He filled the sky with birds of every color and song. He blessed them and told them to fill the seas and the skies.

DAY 6

Animals and the First People

On the sixth day, God made all the land animals: lions and elephants, sheep and butterflies, every creature that walks, crawls, or runs. Then, most special of all, God made people in His own image, to love, to care for the earth, and to be His friends.

DAY 7

A Day of Rest

When everything was finished, God looked at all He had made, and it was very good. On the seventh day, He rested. That's why, ever since, this day has been a special time to pause, be thankful, and enjoy the beautiful world God made.

The Story Continues With You

God filled the earth with oceans full of life, skies full of birds, and land full of animals, and He gave us the job of exploring and taking care of all of it. Ready to go see what He made?
